Large portions and great food! Will be returning the next time we are in Mount Airy!

I was positively wowed by our food. It was the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy. The spaghetti sauce was so flavorful I couldn't stop eating it. The olive oil and herb dip was the best anywhere. My chicken was succulent and also seasoned very uniquely. Dessert was superb. Score the meal six out of five!

This place was amazing! The Creamy Lemon Chicken was awesome and the portions are huge! Bread and Olive Oil with Italian herbs served with meal! The server was extremely nice! Nice ambiance and an oasis off the beaten path from main downtown Mt. Airy! Thank you Yelp for helping us find this place!

Tonight's special was chicken portobello. Delicious! Loved the garlicky veggies that came with it. And the portions are no joke. My wife loved her lemon chicken over fettuccine. Three adults could have eaten from her plate. Service was good and consistent. We were checked on regularly and taken care of. The place seems a little outdated and quirky but it's a hidden gem in Mt. Airy.

Outstanding, yet unpretentious, Italian restaurant in Mt. Airy, NC. Great service, delicious food, very reasonable prices, and enormous portions (count on a to-go box!) I had the Chicken Rosa Maria, my wife had the Sierra Chicken, and both were wonderful! The homemade bread with dipping oil beforehand was excellent. The dessert tray looked amazing, but that will have to wait until next time! Highly recommend!

We stopped in here on a weekday afternoon while visiting mayberrry. We wanted to Italian food and I came over to this restaurant and I got a big old chicken Parmesan and it was excellent. The service was pretty good. The atmosphere was good I would give everything a four.

Gondola is an Italian eatery located on mount airy North Carolina that me and a buddy stopped by for dinner after seeing the nearby "Mayberry" sites. The interior is a bit on the smaller side but it a smaller town so I'm sure it sufficient. We were seated immediately and overall received pretty solid service as the waitress w what was attentive and kept our cups full. You do get started with complementary bread that comes with a garlic Sauce to dip in. Bread was fresh but without the garlic/vinegar sauce it was kind of bland. For entrees I personally went with a cheese calzone and my buddy went with a chicken parm. Both were pretty large servings especially the chicken parmigiana. We both agreed the taste was pretty good. Mine was a nice mix of ricotta and pulled cheese and the sauce had a nice flavor to it. Overall I'd say this place is a slightly above average tasting Italian place with good service and great pricing. We had a good dinner with a solid atmosphere. So overall no complaints .
